The United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit entered shutdown operations commencing on Monday, October 20, 2025. This status limits operations to only excepted activities necessary to the exercise of the judiciary’s constitutional functions. This will remain the operational status until Congress enacts an appropriations bill or a continuing resolution.
Cases calendared for oral argument during the month of November and December will proceed as scheduled. Parties remain obligated to meet all scheduled deadlines for filing and comply with the filing requirements of the Federal Rules of Appellate Procedure and this court’s Local Rules.
