Clifton Cislak was appointed Chief Deputy Clerk of the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit in November 2019. He joined the court’s Legal Division as a Staff Attorney in February 2008, and became Assistant Director of the Legal Division in December 2016. Before coming to the court, he worked in the Litigation Division of the Office of the Indiana Attorney General. He received his undergraduate degree from Washington and Lee University in 2002, and graduated, magna cum laude, from Indiana University School of Law in 2006.
