Michael Terry was appointed Circuit Mediator in 1991. He mediates on a regular basis, and supervises the volunteer mediators of the Appellate and District Court Mediation Programs. Mr. Terry previously headed the Domestic Relations Unit of the D.C. Superior Court's Multi-Door Division, and mediated for the Citizen's Complaint Center and D.C. Office of Human Rights. Before becoming a full-time mediator, he was in private legal practice and served as General Counsel for the University of the District of Columbia. Mr. Terry graduated from Howard University Law School in 1971 and is a member of the bars of New York and the District of Columbia.
