Amy Wind was appointed Chief Circuit Mediator for the D.C. Circuit in 2008. She is responsible for the mediation programs in the U.S. Court of Appeals, the U.S. District Court, and the U.S. Bankruptcy Court. She manages approximately 110 volunteer attorneys who serve as mediators in the Circuit's mediation programs, and personally mediates selected matters. A trial lawyer with a dozen years of litigation experience, she had a full-time bilingual private mediation practice for 15 years prior to joining the Court. Ms. Wind earned her B.A. at Scripps College and a J.D. from U.C. Hastings College of Law, and taught mediation for nearly a decade as an adjunct professor at George Washington University Law School.
