May litigants choose a particular mediator from the District Court's roster to mediate their case?
The mediator assigned to the case is selected by the Court’s mediation staff. The staff welcome suggestions as to what experience or style would be most effective, and will often work with the parties to make the best possible selection. Usually a mediator with specific expertise in the subject matter of the case can be assigned.
