Michael Terry was appointed to his current position in February of 1991. He previously served as the Dispute Resolution Specialist of the Domestic Relations Mediation Program at the D.C. Superior Court’s Multi-Door Division. Mike has also served as a volunteer mediator at the Citizen’s Compliant Center and the Office of Human Rights. In his current position, he mediates on a regular basis and supervises a panel of approximately 200 volunteer lawyers who serve as mediators in the District Court. Mike graduated from Howard Law School in 1971 and is a member of the Bar in New York and the District of Columbia. He was in private practice for approximately four years. Mike has also held the positions of General Counsel for the University of the District of Columbia and Assistant General Counsel for the United Planning Organization.
