Martha J. Tomich has been the Director of the Legal Division since the reorganization of the Clerk’s Office in 1995. She began her tenure with the Court in 1986 as Assistant to the Chief Staff Counsel. Prior to her court service, Ms. Tomich was a Fellow at Georgetown University Law Center’s Appellate Litigation Clinical Program from 1984-86, an Assistant Bar Counsel with the District of Columbia Board on Professional Responsibility from 1979-84, and law clerk to the Honorable George W. Bowling of the Circuit Court for Charles County Maryland from 1978-79. Ms. Tomich is a graduate of the Catholic University of America Law School and Beaver College.
